Does anyone know anything about 1983 G4G Suzuki motorcycle?

I'm looking to buy a bike. A friend of a friend is selling a 1983 G4G Suzuki. This bike is so old, info on the web doesn't seem to exist. The bike being as old as it is makes me a bit nervous about buying it. Any advice or resource would be greatly appreciated.|||have a look here http://www.suzukicycles.org/1980-1989/19鈥?/a>

see if you can match up the model,as ive never heard of it.|||I'm assuming you are talking about the GR 650? (the extra G is just the designation for that particular generation's specs, and to make it appear "improved" over the previous year's model. )

It's a good bike and parts are readily available. (The Japanese bikes used many interchangeable model to model and year to year parts.)

Link to specs: http://www.bikez.com/year/catalog.php?pa鈥?/a> If you select the GR-650, it will take you to the specs and a picture so you can be sure it's the same bike.

Check it over really well, as it is old and parts like wiring, hoses, seals chains, sprockets, axles and wheel and steering fork bearings can be pretty worn/dried out.

Going price for an older bike in perfect condition is about $1 per cc maximum and less depending on condition.
