Are motorcycles less expensive to buy in Mexico?

I want to buy a motorcycle from Elektra. The main brand is Italika. I see many people in Guanajuato with those nice looking bikes.Suzuki motorcycles seem to be very expensive in the U.S. Suzuki seems to be also expensive in Mexico. What about the permit? is that also expensive?|||Italika is actually a Chinese made bike. They go for roughly $1500 in Mexico with used ones a rarity as they don't hold up very well. Chinese remember. You will find that they are uninsurable in the states. Where do you plan to get a permit? In the states or Mexico?
