How much oil is required when changing the fork seals of a 1984 Suzuki GS550L motorcycle?

I've owned this "84 Suzuki GS550L for 3yrs %26amp; it didn't come with a "Biker Bible" manual...I have ordered fork seals %26amp; dust caps to replace old ones though do not know exact measurements for the fork oil for it is located in the manual! If the seals have not been leaking (or maybe just one has) carefully collect the oil as you drain them, keeping each fork's amount separate from the other. Measure those amounts in a clear devise and figure about 1- 5% loss over the years of usage and drainage. Note the amount of the refill, go for a moderate test drive, if anything all you need to do is add a bit more.


Remember to keep both tubes filled at the exact same level and add accordingly.|||The bike is old enough you should be able to find a manual on-line. Try searching for 1984 Suzuki GS550L manual.
