Why is Suzuki Motorcycles only selling 2009 models now?

Including the Hayabusa, they're selling only 2009 models. They said something about, that they are doing this because they imported too many bikes in previous years and are trying to sell them off. I don't know if that's true or what the real story is. thanks|||Like all the bike companies, when the economy took a dump, a lot of businesses in the automotive industry were hit pretty hard. Suzuki put a freeze on their production because bikes weren't selling, so they were scheduled for late release dates on the 2010 lineup on bikes. Suzuki and GM are co-partners in the industry, so the whole bailout/bankruptcy BS was the major factor in the lack of production.|||Suzuki is selling 2010 models. Are you just talking about one particular dealer? If that's the case they are blowing smoke up your bung. They ordered more '09 models than they could sell and can't afford to buy more until they sell these. It has nothing to do with the Suzuki company, just the local shop you are dealing with. Go to another dealer. No racer is going to buy a year old bike. My guess is this isn't a very successful shop.
